Welcome to the Lake
City Park remains a beloved green space for both Budapest residents and tourists. In the summer, Europe’s largest and most beautiful outdoor ice rink transforms into a picturesque boating lake.
This year, enjoy the lake with 32 water bikes, 10 boats, and 10 stand-up paddleboards across its expansive 60,000 square meters.

Candle Lake x The Heart of Yin
A special summer evening on the City Park Boating Lake, where thousands of floating candles light up the water, Vajdahunyad Castle rises in the background, and a calm, intimate yoga experience awaits.
This time, Candle Lake comes to life in a quieter, more inward-looking form: an evening where the noise of the city fades, and candlelight, water and the night sky help you slow down, arrive, and reconnect with yourself. 🌙
The Heart of Yin practice will be led by Anna Nagy, YogaSecrets, guiding you from gentle flowing movement into a deeper, calmer Yin experience.
SUP Yoga
Every Wednesday afternoon, you can recharge with a SUP yoga class on City Park Boating Lake, organized by Emocean Yoga.
Salsa Nights
Every two weeks, you can experience the vibrant atmosphere of South American salsa and bachata parties. The classes are taught by professional dance instructors, and both beginners and advanced dancers are welcome to join.
Be Massive Horizon
Summer evenings, pulsating electronic music, dancing by the lake. The next event is on 29 August.
